SCHIFANO Homs - Libia 1934 - Roma 1998
Still young he was a protagonist in Rome’s art life, due to early contacts with internationally famous painters and gallery owners. His first exhibition was held at Rome’s Gallery Appia Antica in 1959 and a few years later ( 1964 ) he exhibited in Milan, New York, Rome and Turin. Color is important in Schifano’s work, characterized by vivid, lively hues.
