SALVATORE FIUME SALVATORE FIUME Ragusa 1915 - Como 1997

Salvatore Fiume was born in Comiso (Ragusa) in 1915, In 1931 he studied at the Urbino Institute of Fine Arts and then moved to Milan where he held his first exhibition showed at the Schettini Gallery and abroad, in Boston, Baden, Paris and London. In 1950 he took part in the Venice Biennal.
His works can be found in the Museum of Modern Arts of New York and in various private collections around the world. In 1974 the town of Milan devoted a show to him at Palazzo Reale. Since 1978, 33 of his works have been on view at the Vatican's Museum of Modern Art. In 1985 he held an exibition at Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome and in 1986 at the Archeological Museum of Syracuse (Sicily)
