GIANNI DOVA Roma 1925 - Pisa 1991
He studied at Brera Academy of Fine Arts and began his painting career at an early age. 1946 he signed the Realist manifesto "Beyond Guernica" and with Crippa and Fontana was one of the leaders of the Italian spatial movement.
Subsequentely, his painting acquired a fantastical-surreal character, while retaining elements of abstractionism. He has exhibited in the most important public and private galleries in the world.
Several times participated in the Salon de Mai in Paris and the Venice Biennial, where in 1996 a large room was devoted to his work. His works, on display in the world's museums and private collections, won numerous and important awards.
