- Pino Deodato
Pino Deodato was born in Nao, Vibo Valentia, in 1950. He currently lives and works in Milan, where he arrived in 1969. Here he attended the Brera Academy and came into contact with some rapresentatives of the Milanese art scene, later becoming an assistant to Giangiacomo Spadari. In addition, he managed to frequent the French and Spanish artistic environment. Since the 1990s, Deodato's artistic expression has been characterized by magical realism that, drawing inspiration from the folds of his memory, gives rise to real metaphors of life. His works have been exhibited at the Musèe D'Art Moderne in Paris and at the Musèe du Luxembourg, at the Alvarez Gallery in Lisbon and Oporto. Collectors such as Trussardi, Coveri, Castelli, Picler, Damiani, Manuli etc. secure his works inspired by the world of fairy tales. Deodato's research path continues to this day: the artist, a humanist and alchemist of the image, constantly tells the story of humanity, always moving between sculpture and painting.
